-- How are new words added to your dictionary?
We get them from a variety of sources. Some are added by our users, others are picked up by our spiders. Words in the dictionary are commonly added by lexicographers, who are people that specialize in adding words to dictionaries.

-- Can I add a word to your dictionary?
You can try by sending it to us. We'll evaluate your word and see if it should be in our dictionary.

-- Do you have any software I can add to my browser, such as a toolbar?
We don't make any toolbars, but we do have a word of the day tool that you can use to put on your site. It has a different word every day. You can find it on our home page.

-- Do you have an ad-free dictionary available for a premium?
Not currently, but we may offer one in the future if the demand is great enough.

-- Is there a WAP version of your dictionary site available?
We might consider making one if there are enouhg users who request it.

-- May I link to DefineOnline, and is there a search box.
Of course you may link to us, we thank you for doing so.

-- Would you link to my site? Do you offer custom advertising?
Unfortunately at this time we don't link to any sites that are not in our family. As for advertising, contact us to let us know what you have in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I put the "Word of the Day" on my site?
Simply go to our Home Page and copy and paste the script onto your page. If you'd like to configure it further, click the 'configure' link which will take you to the coolwebtoys configuration page where colors and sizes can be altered.

2. I put the script on the page, but after 24 hours it fails. What gives?
Either part of the code is missing, or it is behind a login on your site. Reinstall the code if part of it is missing by finding the utility in your account on coolwebtoys.com. If it's behind a login, run the script on a page that's available to everyone.

3. The word of the day is different for me than other people I know. Are they not all the same?
The word of the day displays in the same sequence for word of the day starting on the day the script is placed on a page.

4. Is there a way for me to add my own words to the word of the day utility? Not currently, although we may explore this option if there is enough interest.

5. Do you offer a premium version that does not require the advertising (linkback) at the bottom? No, we intend to keep all of our products free to our users.
